Freelance .NET Developer

Full time freelance developer, based in Nottingham, UK, available during normal office hours. Extensive commercial experience with ASP.NET & Microsoft SQL Server.

Fluent in c# and confident working with enterprise scale systems. Previous sites have included high traffic "storefronts" receiving 1.5 million unique visitors a month. Application performance and security are of particular interest.

Microsoft SQL Server

I have worked with SQL Server since version 6.5. Past projects have included 1/2 TeraByte databases with billions of rows. I am a Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA) and believe a well thought-out database is as important to the success of an application as the design of its business layer.

HTML, JavaScript

I've had exposure to several JavaScript frameworks and have a few favorites. My work in web development predates off the shelf controls, so I am familiar with the underlying technologies and can build from scratch required.

I am experienced in working with designers and "wiring up" their HTML into an application. I understand HTML and CSS so I know how to create apps that are easily "skinnable"

I've been programming full time in various commercial environments for 20 years.

I graduated in 1996 with a 2:1 in Software Engineering.

Microsoft Certified Professional

Currently held certifications include MCSD, MCBDA, MCSA. Verification codes available on request.

Availability for 2017

2017 is looking pretty packed. I have some excellent long term clients who I enjoy working with, and who seem to be producing a stream of interesting projects!
It's unlikely that I'll be able to take on any new work in 2017.
Over the years I have built up a network of trusted local freelancers, so if you have a project please get in touch, I might be able to help by putting you in contact with someone from my network.
